Nickname :D

THE NICKNAME

Once upon a time there was a girl and she was just talking to her friends in class and was telling them that one time her friend had accidentally called her Oreo and then someone who was walking past her said "I'm going to call you Oreo now. Hi Oreo!" Then the girl walked away before she could tell her that she didn't like that idea much. Now another one of her friends heard that girl's plan to start calling her Oreo and he decided that he too would call her Oreo (that was before they became good friends) The next week that same girl and boy kept calling her Oreo and she HATED it! After a while she got used to it and it didn't bother her anymore and it got boring for the girl to keep calling her Oreo... but the boy kept calling her Oreo and eventually it just stuck and it became her nickname and she gave him a nickname too. But then FINALLY that boy (who was now good friends with that girl) kind of just stopped calling her that because it was just plain boring now and she stopped calling him by his nickname for the same reason. But every once in a while they will call each other by their nicknames just for a joke.

THE END :D

Now can you guess who that girl is?...

It's me! That's right! And to this day we are still friends!(I don't know why I said that because this only happend in September)

It's been FOREVER!

I'm sooo very sorry that I haven't posted on my blog FOREVER! Now down to business...

Being sick is fun... very Very VERY fun... you get to watch TV all day, drink hot chocolate, sleep until three o'clock in the afternoon and... feel horrible. Now that sounds fun right?
The only thing better than being sick is Christmas. Who wouldn't want to sing all those christmas carols when they have a sore throat and are always sneezing?

HERE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONGS.

THE TWELVE DAYS OF ILLNESS

ON THE FIRST DAY OF ILLNESS MY BAD COLD GAVE TO ME
A CUP OF HERBAL TEA.
ON THE SECOND DAY OF ILLNESS MY BAD COLD GAVE TO ME
TWO HOURS OF SLEEP
AND A CUP OF HERBAL TEA.
ON THE THIRD DAY OF ILLNESS MY BAD COLD GAVE TO ME
THREE LOUD SNEEZES,
TWO HOURS OF SLEEP
AND A CUP OF HERBAL TEA.
ON THE FOURTH DAY OF ILLNESS MY BAD COLD GAVE TO ME
FOUR COUGHS TO COUGH,
THREE LOUD SNEEZES,
TWO HOURS OF SLEEP
AND A CUP OF HERBAL TEA.
ON THE FIFTH DAY OF ILLNESS MY BAD COLD GAVE TO ME
FIVE GET WELL CARDS,
FOUR COUGHS TO COUGH,

Why Hello Again My Young Readers! Nice To See You Too!

You know what everyone? I have finally realized that this is blog!... And that (even though how awesome it is) I shouldn't just talk about Shakespeare class because (hello!) Oreo's got to have a little fun! Of course I already have fun but I guess I need a little bit more!

So instead (well for right now at least) I'm going to suggest some books that YOU should read: Princess of The Midnight Ball and Princess of Glass both by Jessica Day George and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

YOU should only read these books if you're a girl unless you're a boy who just LOVES girly classics and just LOVES fairy tale retellings and just LOVES Princesses getting rescued by a very HANDSOME and BRAVE Knight. So basically I'm suggesting these books for the girls who are reading this.

Now for some Shakespeare updates... I still haven't got the paper from my third week back yet and I'm just HOPING It's because My teacher is writing me positive feedback about my paper. (Which means you still don't need to be scared)

Have a fun week!

See you next time folks!

Shakespeare AGAIN?!

Sorry everyone about not posting on Tuesday I've been kind of busy. You know Shakespeare class and everything else that's going on in my life.

I'm so busy this school year that if you look at the calendar on my phone you can't see the numbers because what's going on on each day of this month is high lighted in different colors (I know fun calendar right?).

So on Tuesday we found out water guns have been banned... actually I'm just kidding. But I don't think that they've stocked up on mini water guns again and I have not seen another plastic cup after that.

So 4 people got in trouble for not listening this week and they got put in the stocks and stoned (well with paper balls anyway) and 3 of them were my personal friends (I couldn't believe they could commit such a crime!).

Then we had a discussion about Julius Caesar.

Now you may be asking have you got the paper you wrote back from your third week of class yet? Well I am very proud to tell you that I have NOT gotten it back yet so you won't be hearing about any of my papers this week either so just wipe the sweat off your face because you don't need to be scared anymore.

So anyway I had lots of fun in class this week.

Thanks for reading my posts guys! See you soon!

p.s. You're sweating again! I feel it in my bones. Seriously you don't need to be scared if me.

More Shakespeare and ISANITY!

Hey everyone! Here is some more stuff about my Shakespeare class and the movie I watched.

So I watched The Taming of The Shrew. It was hilarious! The Shrew was Elizabeth Taylor who I think (but am not quite sure) is now dead. This version was not quite accurate so I couldn't follow along with the book as I usually do but it was a good movie anyway. My favorite thing about it was when you first see the shrew and she's wearing a dress that looks like it's made out of a circus tent (you know with the funny stripes?). But anyway The Taming of The Shrew is basically about a man who takes upon the challenge to marry the Shrew and is determined to turn her into a proper wife. So in the end he achieves his goal. She listens to him and obeys him and agrees with everything he says and even better... she doesn't wear the circus tent dress anymore! Anyway I really enjoyed The Taming of The Shrew!

In my Shakespeare class we earn Ducats (a type of money in Shakespeare's time) for stuff like writing papers and turning them in and getting crowned and being involved in our lectures... well you get the idea anyway... For two Ducats we can buy mini water guns. Well today everyone bought them and everyone (except for me and a couple of my friends) got into a HUGE water fight! One of my friends (who was able to buy a water gun before they were all gone) was in the fight and he got soaked to the bone! It was CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! And some people who still wanted to be involved went to the kitchen and got plastic cups and filled them up with the hose outside and threw the water at people and that's the main reason people were getting so wet! And there were people screaming and slipping and just getting really Really REALLY! WET! And even though I wasn't involved my right foot got soaked and so was part of my right pant leg.
It was just INSANE!

I know that didn't have a lot to do with my class but we do learn something here now don't we... water guns should be banned and everyone should stick to the the drinking fountain and get rid of those plastic cups and that hose!

My very Very VERY First Post

I have been so very lucky to be taking the most wonderful Shakespeare class this school year. I believe it was fate that there was only one opening in the class and that it was meant for me.

In my class we are challenged to watch and listen and read 17 Shakespeare plays. So far I have watched and read Hamlet' A Midsummer Nights Dream' Much Ado About Nothing and Romeo and Juliet. Hamlet was HILARIOUS! Even though it's supposed to be a tragedy it's now a comedy! First Ophelia drowned singing songs then Queen Gertrude was poisoned then King Claudius died getting stabbed one million times by Hamlet then Laertes got cut on the wrist by a poisoned sword and died and last but not least Hamlet died... for no apparent reason. A Midsummer Nights Dream and Much Ado About Nothing were funny as well but that's obvious because they are (hello) comedies. Romeo and Juliet was as laugh worthy as any of the other plays. My favorite part was when Juliet stabbed herself at the end of the movie and blood was very cheesily squirting out of her chest.

We are studying Julius Caesar this year. We didn't have any writing or reading assignments the first week of class but on our second week of class we had to read Act 1 Sc. 1-2. My reading assignments are opinion papers. The question for my paper my second week of class was... In your opinion what makes a great leader? Give an example from your life. Here is my paper if you would like to read it.

What Makes a Great Leader?

Being able to speak well in front of a crowd.
Being able to see what needs to happen and what needs to be done to get there.
Being able to be straightforward in a good way like saying what needs to be said.
Having a good reason for people to follow him/her and wanting to be heard.
Hitler was a powerful (but not great) leader.
He thought he had a good reason to be heard and so did others. So people listened. But he was not a good leader. His followers were not getting the whole story of what he was doing because he controlled the flow of information. He was only powerful because he had the power of persuasion and he used that power for evil.
My Mother is a great leader because she has all the qualities I wrote about and all the qualities the best Mother on earth needs.
I know these qualities make a great leader.

That was my very first opinion paper I hope you liked it. For those who don't know me personally I am home schooled and for all my friends who are reading this I love ya! See you soon!
